Lionel Richie undergoes heart procedure; cancels shows amid health concerns

(Gray News) - Lionel Richie is taking some time off after undergoing a medical procedure.The R B legend recently underwent a heart procedure for atrial fibrillation following heart issues while touring.“Lionel underwent a common procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib),” a representative for the singer shared in a statement. “Lionel is doing great but will take some time off and will be back on stage soon.”Richie’s appearances on tour with Earth, Wind Fire scheduled for Sept. 26, Sept. 30 and Oct. 2 have been said to be canceled following his recent hospital stay.
