MANATEE, Fla. (WWSB) - Manatee County commissioners on Tuesday voted on whether to move forward with discussions about firing County Administrator Charlie Bishop, effectively halting the effort for now.The commission voted 3–3 on an agenda item that would have advanced talks on Bishop’s removal. Under commission rules, the tie vote kills the measure automatically. It was not clear whether the issue might return once a new commission is seated after upcoming elections.
